Graffiti Removal (213-978-0228):
The Office of Community Beautification (OCB) operates a graffiti removal program. Requests for graffiti removal are referred to community-based organizations contracted through OCB or to other agencies. Work is performed using paint, chemical solvents or sandblasting/waterblasting, depending on the type of surface. All services are free of charge to the residents of the City of Los Angeles. Report StormWater Violation (800-974-9794):
To report any stormwater violation within the city of Los Angeles, please call (800) 974-9794. To report a violation online or find out more information about the Los Angeles Watershed Protection Program, please click here.
Streetlight Outages (Call 3-1-1):
To report a streetlight outage on a metal/steel or concrete pole from within the LA City limits, dial 311; from outside of the LA City limits dial 213-473-3231. To report a streetlight outage on a wooden power pole call DWP at 800-342-5397. For more information please click here.
Public Landscape Maintenance (800-996-2489):
The Urban Forestry Division manages the portion of the urban forest that is growing along the City's public rights-of-way using established sustainable urban forestry principles. Notify the Urban Forestry Division regarding planting, removal, pruning, and bee control, or any other issue related to trees in the public rights-of-way by contacting the Bureau's Service Request Section at (800) 996-2489 between the hours of 7:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. For more information please click here.
Bureau of Sanitation
Trash Pickup for Oxford Square is on FRIDAY. Please make to have your trash bins placed along the curb by Thursday evening. Also please make sure to have enough space between each of your bins. The Bureau of Sanitation requires at least a space of 3 feet between each bin placed.
Missed Collection or Service (800-773-2489):
If one or more of your automated containers were not picked up, or if a scheduled service did not take place, please call the Sanitation Call Center 1-800-773-2489, from Monday through Friday, between 7:30a.m. and 4:45p.m. You could also inform us if the service was not completed by clicking on the Service Website Site. Service Website Site takes two days to be processed.
Bulky Item Pickup (800-773-2489):
We encourage you to recycle your bulky items through charitable organizations and thrift stores. If you are unable to do so, the Bureau of Sanitation (BOS) will pick-up large or bulky household items, such as mattresses, couches, and other furniture from residents serviced by the City of Los Angeles. To arrange for the removal of these items from your curbside, please call 1-800-773-2489, from Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., at least one day before your regular collection day. Black, Blue, & Green Bin Replacement:
The Bureau of Sanitation services four automated containers: black (for household refuse), blue (for recyclables), green (for yard trimmings) and brown (for horse manure) containers. Containers must be placed at the curb by 6:00a.m. on the day of collection, and removed no later than 8:00p.m. on the day of collection. Request for Extra Capacity Containers:
Residences serviced by the City of Los Angeles receive standard allowance of containers free of charge. The standard allowance for single family dwelling are one 60-gallon black trash container, one 90-gallon green yard trimmings container, and one 90-gallon blue recycling container. The standard allowance for multi-family dwelling are one 60-gallon black trash container per dwelling unit, one 90-gallon green yard trimming container per lot, and one 90-gallon blue container for every four dwelling units. Any additional capacity beyond the standard allowance is considered Extra Capacity container. Extra Capacity containers are available for an additional charge. Black extra capacity trash containers are $5.00 per month per 30 gallons. Green extra capacity yard trimmings containers are $2.50 per month per 30 gallons. Blue extra capacity recycling containers are available at no additional charge. Brown Horse Manure containers are available upon request at a charge of $10.00 per 60 gallons. The extra capacity black, green, and brown containers are subject to six months obligation. To order Extra Capacity containers, please call the Bureau of Sanitation Call Center at 1-800-773-2489, from Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., at least one day before your regular collection day. You could also send us your Extra Capacity container request by clicking on the Service Request Form. Fill out and submit the Service Request form. The Service Request form takes two days to be processed.
Dead Animal Collection (800-773-2489):
It is very important not to dispose any dead animal into your trash bin for health safety reasons. The Bureau of Sanitation collects dead animals free of charge, except for horses and cows. (For horses and cows, please check your local yellow pages for a rendering service.) Please call 1-800-773-2489, from Monday through Saturday, between 7:30a.m. and 4:45p.m. For after hours and Sundays, please dial 3-1-1 on your home phone.

Non-Emergencies (877 ASK-LAPD):
877 ASK-LAPD is the police department's primary non-emergency number. Use 877 ASK-LAPD for all of your non-emergency police needs. 877 ASK-LAPD is available 24 hours per day, in English, Spanish and TTY. Non-emergency requests for police service include reports of non-violent disputes, disturbances, loud parties, gang activity, loud noise (noise complaints), loud radio or TV, drunk/intoxicated person(s), drug/narcotic use, racing cars/motorcycles, non-injury traffic accidents/collisions, loitering, refusing to leave, ringing house, car or business alarms, illegal vendors, minor complaints, nuisances, off hour construction permits and on-going problems.
